Our History

Since 1924, SSM St. Mary's Health Center has demonstrated its commitment to providing quality health care for all segments of the greater St. Louis community. Remaining at its original Richmond Heights location, the Health Center has continued improve and expand vital health care services. St. Mary's is licensed for 582 beds, employs 1,900 people and has more than 1,000 physicians on staff, representing all medical specialties. St. Mary's is a member of SSM Health Care, sponsored by the Franciscan Sisters of Mary.
