Lauren Plummer became Area Director, Strategy & Business Development for SSM St. Mary’s Health Center in 2005. Prior to moving to St. Mary’s, Plummer was Senior Corporate Planning Manager at SSM Health Care’s Corporate Office for two years. In her current position, she has primary responsibility for the strategic plan, the strategic capital and the master campus plan; she leads the Business Development team at the Health Center; and drives strategies in key clinical service line initiatives in several areas. 

Prior to joining SSM Health Care, Lauren Plummer was a Planning Manager at BJC HealthCare, St. Louis, from 1998 to 2003. She has also held strategic planning and economic consultant positions in a variety of non-healthcare related industries, including banking and energy. She received her Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Economics from Kalamazoo College. She also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Cameroon, West Africa.
